Oldest men and women seem to dominate the fields of medicine, law, and psychology, and the preference for such advanced study is strongest among students whose fathers were in these occupations or who had been frustrated in professional ambitions.  This symbolizes the way in which many fathers encourage their children to fulfill the fathers’ ambitions.
